Spanierman Modern is pleased to announce the opening on March 23, 2010, of Teo González , an exhibition and sale of paintings in mixed media on canvas and paper by an artist working in the minimalist tradition, for whom the grid is an opportunity to explore themes of predictability and chance. In this current body of work, González takes a more painterly approach, his greater control over the creative process resulting in a new animation, volatility, and vibrancy. The show is accompanied by a fifteen-page catalogue, including an interview with the artist and color illustrations of eight of the twenty-two works in the exhibition.
